The aim of the EgoPrise –project was to develop the public administration services of Baltic rural areas to better meet the needs of business life with the help of e-services. The key focus was on developing the public administration’s e-services to better fit the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises. The project’s goal was to contribute in the development of Baltic rural areas into more attractive places to live, do business and invest in. During the project, one sought to clarify on a regional level what sort of improvements small and medium-sized enterprises wished the e-services of public administration would have. The objective was to develop and create virtual meeting places (digital greenhouses) as a joint electronic networking platform for small and medium-sized enterprises and other operators, such as institutes of higher education and public administration.
