The aim of the "Next Generation Access Growth in Europe” (ENGAGE) project was to reduce the differences between rural and urban areas in utilising ICT. The project pursued to relay Best Practices for designing and deploying broadband networks. The aim of the project was to find cost efficient and economically sound ways of ensuring broadband availability in the participating regions, also in areas of dispersed settlement, which in turn would contribute to the regions’ vitality.
